Things to Do in Old Greenwich

Greenwich Point Park is arguably the most picturesque of Greenwich’s four public beaches. Surrounded by the waters of Long Island Sound, this 147-acre park is ringed with a sandy beachfront, offering incredible views of Long Island Sound’s islands and the Manhattan skyline. Open year-round, popular activities include swimming, sunbathing, walking, jogging, and cycling along the park’s trails. The park is also a popular launching spot for boat trips on the sound. Annual events taking place at Greenwich Point Park include a spectacular Fourth of July Fireworks Display and the popular Beach Ball, held beneath a marquee atop one of the park’s stunning Manhattan-view bluffs. The festivities include dinner and cocktails, dancing, as well as a live auction. Binney Park is another scenic space extending for 32 acres around a beautiful duck pond in the heart of Old Greenwich. Walking bridges and weeping willows make the enchanting landscape a popular spot for wedding photos. Other attractions include a recreation area with tennis courts, baseball, and soccer fields, and a children’s playground.
